"The Road to Healing Begins Here"
My name is Tuesdae Lawrence, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the State of Tennessee (License #1433), North Carolina (License #2144), and a General Civil Rule 31 Mediator. I received a second Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Lipscomb University in 2017.
Upon serving 26 years of military service, I decided to continue doing what I love (serving and helping others) by entering into the field of Marriage and Family Therapy. I have a passion for helping others find the courage within them to live the best life rather than survive life. My hope is to invite clients into a safe space where we have the opportunity to confront painful and uncomfortable issues that keep them stuck. Through a collaborative process, integrated cognitive and emotional approaches, my clients and I work to find insight and develop skills that lead to healing.
As a therapist, I have worked with a diverse range of individuals, families, and couples in both community and private practice settings. During my master’s work, I’ve completed a coursework track in play therapy; allowing me to use skills learned, while working in a outreach organization, the prison/jail system, and college environment. Also, I provided pro-bono mediation/dispute resolution service as a volunteered General Civil Rule 31 Mediator and volunteered services/assistance to those victimized by crime as a credentialed Provisional Advocate during my internship.
When I’m not in the office (and not studying!) you can find me spending time with family and friends, meditating, at the gym, yoga, reading, shopping, and spending time with my dog, Chance.
