As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I realize that no two people are alike. This is why I specialized coaching sessions to help individuals, family, and couple struggling to find their courage and strength to move beyond co-dependency, boundaries issue, relationship issues, abuse and trauma, poor self esteem and self worth, forgiveness, professional development, and unexpected or expected life transition issues on their own. I provide my clients with the tools they need to be healed and whole and create the lives they desire using a variety of modalities and interventions.
Working with me as your coach
My personal philosophy of coaching mirrors my philosophy of therapy: each individual is unique in their experiences, symptoms and healing journey. Therefore, I am committed to working with you to find modalities and healing interventions that work for you. I combine my knowledge and experiences of these different issues to create a treatment plan that is unique and effective for you. While many coaches work within a specific timeframe (e.g. 6 months), I have found that it is impossible to put a time limit on how fast or slow healing can occur; how long we work together is an ongoing conversation between the two of us. I do make a recommendation that if it fits within your schedule and budget, having a session on a weekly basis for the first two months tends to be the most helpful. However, if this does not work for you, we will design a plan and schedule that does.
What approaches do you use
Though I use an integrated approach as a therapist and coach, meaning I draw from all modalities and theories, there are specific modalities that I have found particularly helpful with clients:
- Internal Family Systems (IFS)
- Psychoeducation
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
- Solution Focused Therapy
- Emotional Focused Therapy
- Narrative Therapy
- Somatic Experiencing
- Boundaries and Co-Dependency
- Mindfulness and Self Regulation
- Forgiveness work
- Positive Psychology
- Creating Safety in the Body and Environment
- Assertiveness Training and Communication
Again, I recognize that each individual is unique in their experiences and needs; I am committed to helping you find out what is most effective for you!
How do I get started
We will begin with a 30 minute clarity call which allows us a bit of time to get to know each other. During that call we will briefly discuss your story/experiences and the areas you are wanting to work through as well as what coaching may look like for you. We can also discuss logistics (e.g. payment, scheduling) and, if you feel ready after our call, can get an appointment on the calendar.
After the clarity call and setting of the first appointment you will receive an email with a link in it for you to fill out some paperwork prior to our first meeting. The paperwork includes my coaching policies as well as some questions about you and basic demographic information-it shouldn’t take you more than 10-15 minutes!
Typically a coaching session is 50 minutes long; this is considered a clinical hour. However, our first session will be 90 minutes long; I have found that the extra time allows us to dig in to your story and experiences and develop a direction for healing. Subsequent sessions are 50 minutes long; longer sessions are available upon request.
How much does it cost
Each session is $100; I offer a 4 sessions at a discounted rate of $350. A valid credit card must be kept on file for purposes of paying for the session or in the chance of not showing up for the session. While most individuals prefer to pay for their sessions as they go, some clients like to pay for several sessions at a time. I am open to whatever payment schedule is amenable to you!
Your first coaching session is 90 minutes long and is $150.
How do I meet with you
The beauty of coaching is that it can be done from wherever! I reside in Fayetteville, NC, so clients and I will meet via online using video format called Zoom (which is HIPAA compliant) or on the phone. Video sessions are preferred as being able to see facial expressions, read body language and have a face-to-face conversation is ideal. However, like the rest of this process, we will find a medium that is most comfortable for you!
